The Light The Night WalkŪ is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nation wide evening walk. Walkers carry illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. A parade of flickering red and white balloons winds down 2 to 3 miles through communities, creating a breathtaking sight and spirit of fellowship among all who carry them. Funds raised through Light The NightŪ will support our mission.
This year, it all starts at about 4pm at the York Beach Ball Field with Carnival like festivities and fun events for the children...the walk to the Nubble light will start at about 6:30 pm and will commence at Ellis Park in Short Sands Beach.
If you want to be a team captain for your school or business, all you need is four friends, co-workers, or associates to join you to register as a team, then call 1-800-688-6572 or 1-508-879-5083 and tell them you are part of TEAM WERZ!!
